Georgetown University

The Georgetown University College Democrats are the largest student organization on the Georgetown's campus, located in northwest Washington, DC. The Georgetown Dems pride themselves in both bringing civic awareness and politics to campus, as well as spreading their enthusiasm for Democratic causes beyond their neighborhood. The leaders of a campus-wide voter education, registration, and absentee ballot drive each year, the Georgetown Dems help to ensure that their fellow students uphold the ideal of civic engagement, which is central to the tradition of Jesuit education at Georgetown. In addition, the Georgetown Dems bring countless high-profile speakers and dynamic events to campus to engage the student body in important conversations centered around politics, government, and society. Through community service projects in other neighborhoods in DC and campaign trips with the DC College Democrats throughout out the country, the Georgetown Dems have helped to mobilize support for causes of progressive politics and social justice.
