Executive Board
2011-2012 DC Federation Executive Board:
The Executive Board of the College Democrats is elected in the spring of each school year and serves a one year term.
Jake Sticka – President
Jake Sticka is from San Diego, California and is a member of Georgetown University’s Class of 2013, majoring in Government and minoring in History. Attending Georgetown entirely on grants and scholarships, Jake understands the plight of America’s urban poor and chose to attend school in Washington DC as a means toward achieving the social change that he sees as necessary for the future of his country. He believes that the Democratic Party is the only party that will work toward the achievement of this change, especially in regards to the most pressing of issues: education, healthcare, and the social safety net. Outside of DC College Democrats, Jake serves as the Vice President of the Georgetown University College Democrats and as a Commissioner on Advisory Neighborhood Commission 2E.
Katie Breslin – Vice President

Katie Breslin is a Junior at Trinity Washington University, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Women's Studies and History. Her activism began in 2004 when she volunteered for the Kerry/Edwards campaign as an 8th grader. After interning on the Obama campaign in 2008 through the Pennsylvania primary and general election, she decided to come to DC to continue working for a progressive agenda. She is the Chair of the Trinity College Democrats for a second year. Her goal for this year is to increase political awareness at Trinity as well as increasing women representation district wide.
Ryan Ashley – Communications Director

Ryan Ashley is a Sophomore at the George Washington University from Los Angeles, CA majoring in Public Policy and History. A life-long Progressive Democrat, Ryan first became interested in politics since the 2000 Presidential Campaign, and hasn't looked back since. Ryan is currently also the Communications Director for the GW College Democrats, working to manage a progressive message for District of Columbia students. He is currently an Air Force ROTC cadet, and has lived internationally for much of his life.
Ryan Fecteau – Treasurer
Ryan grew up in Maine's sixth largest city of Biddeford. While a student in high school, Ryan served on the Biddeford School Committee for two years. In addition, he was a voting member of the curriculum and policy committees. Ryan also devoted his time to being Editor-in-Chief of the New England award-winning publication The Roar, a sports writer for the Journal Tribune, President of Civil Rights and Amnesty International, and a voting member of the Biddeford Democratic Committee. After graduating from Biddeford High School, he enrolled as a political science major at The Catholic University of America. In Washington, DC, he interned for seven months at Organizing for America and co-hosted a liberal talk show on WCUA. He is currently a sophomore Student Association General Assembly delegate and Political Director of College Democrats at CUA. Ryan is most passionate about human rights, education, and foreign aid issues.
Alex Wright – Political Director
Pete Tamao – Membership Director
Pete Tomao is from Long Island, New York. A member of American University's class of 2012, Pete is majoring in Political Science. An ardent and passionate Democrat, Pete has worked on many campaigns, in particular Barack Obama's 2008 primary campaign, as well as many local races in New York. Upon arriving in DC, Pete has kept up his enthusiasm by interning in the office of US Senator Al Franken, and later on interning for the AFL-CIO.
Anjani Nadadur – Press Secretary

Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Anjani Nadadur is a rising senior at Georgetown University, where she is majoring in International Economics. Previous to serving as Press Secretary, she was Communications Director for the California College Democrats and Chair of the College Democrats of America Asian Pacific Islander American Caucus. In high school, she interned for Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-27) and last year was an intern at the Democratic National Committee.
Matt Fulton – President Emeritus

Matt Fulton is from southern New Jersey and a junior at The Catholic University of America, majoring in Politics with a minor in Islamic World Studies. His main academic interests lie in national security and US foreign policy toward the Middle East and Europe. Having been a Republican for most of his life, he became affiliated with the Democratic Party after being inspired by Barack Obama’s message of change. Matt first became interested in politics and international relations at the age of eleven when he read several Tom Clancy novels. He previously served as the Political Director of CUA’s College Dems, where he helped coordinate multiple campaign trips to various locations around Virginia during the 2009 election season, and most recently as Vice President. Currently, he also serves as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Director of CDA. As the President of the DC College Democrats, Matt is most excited to foster the bond between Washington's great universities, unlock our combined potentials, and strengthen the ideas which have made the Democratic Party what it is today.
